IN THE AIR FOR YOU AND ME

Kraftwerk - Radioactivity

Radioactivity is one of my favorite tracks off of Kraftwerk's most underrated album. In contrast to the pop sensibilities expressed on "Computerworld" or the driving kraut-rock beats on "Autobahn" and "Trans-Europe Express", "Radioactivity" presents a stark, eerie atmosphere, achieved by using ethereal synth settings and sound effects ranging from Geiger counters to Morse code. The rhythms on this album are less driving and dance-able, they seem to be trying to emulate scientific equipment.

Anyway, if you're a fan of any of Kraftwerk's other albums, I highly recommend listening to "Radioactivity", its an interesting foil to their earlier and later, more popular albums.
